How Do We Start?
It takes five simple steps to create a professional website that converts website visitors into clients. These are:
Step 1: Talk
The first step in creating your website is to arrange a time for us to talk together. We can do this via phone, Skype or in person. During this initial conversation, we will talk about the type of website you want to create. I can advise you on the latest website design trends, what works well in Google search results, and so forth.
Step 2: Create
The second step is to decide if you want to write the text for your website yourself (and source the images) or if you want me to do this for you. Warning: Writing effective, client converting website text (usually called copy) is a complex skill. It is also crucial to the success of your website.
Step 3: Design
Once your website copy is written (yes, it is usually better to write the copy first!) we will decide on the visual design of your website. At times we may choose a design similar to a website you like, or we may access one of many templates that I have available for use.
Step 4: Name
Having written your website text and chosen your design, we need to choose a name (called the “domain name”) for your website. Often this may be based on your own name (for example, a counsellor named John Smith may choose the domain www.johnsmithcounselling.co.nz).
Step 5: Launch
Having completed the above steps, we will review your site before it goes live. It is always possible to make changes to your website at any time, but it is best to get most of the changes made before your website is launched! As part of my website service I will also provide the website hosting and back-ups-providing extra safety and security for your website.
How Much Does a Website Cost?
Creating a professional, client engaging website is the best investment you will make in your therapy or health practice.
I offer two website plans to make sure my websites are affordable to therapists and health practitioners:

Notes:
- I can advise on free (or low cost) websites to access your images from.
- On rare occasions I may need to charge additional set-up fees if your website design is particularly complex. I will inform you of any variation to your set-up fee in the early stages of your website development.
- The above charges cover the cost of ongoing website hosting as well as any small changes or edits you would like me to make to your website. An example of these small changes would be changes to your hours of operation, address or phone number (for example). More significant changes to your website (such as designing extra pages or making large changes to your existing website) cost $45 per hour.
Note: If you would prefer I can also write your website copy (and choose your images).
Effective website copy is likely to engage more clients into your practice, leading to significant extra income for you.
I will always write your website copy (and choose your website images) in full consultation with you. You will never end up with website text or images that you are not happy with!
A professional, client engaging website (written by me) costs:

Writing fee: $45 per hour
